When opting to partake in an Open Bridge study, participants engage with the free app to complete designated activities on a pre-established schedule directly from their mobile devices. These activities may range from puzzle-like tasks to memory assessments, with the collected data aiding researchers in gaining deeper insights into cognition.

Rest assured that all data provided will solely be utilized for research purposes, with no personal identification information being gathered by the app to safeguard user anonymity.

Each research study is unique, typically spanning 30-40 minutes per week and varying in duration. For those already involved in a Mobile Toolbox study, Study Coordinators are available for any clarifications regarding their enrolled study.

The Open Bridge app was developed by Sage Bionetworks, a non-profit research organization based in the United States. The activities on the app were collaboratively developed by Washington University and Sage Bionetworks.
